Kiki dies from pnownonia, kiki was recovering from 3 prolaspsed disc's in her back damaged by a chiropractor just as we where getting better she got very sick the tablets the vet gave her had a side effect of lowering her immune system and unfortunatly winter was not kind to her,she battled to get  better but it was all to much for her. We had to say good bye to our beloved girl who started our kennels in finnish lapphunds. We are lucky enough to have so many wonderfull memories of her and times we shared.
Kiki was so loving and will forever be saddly missed by all of us. this was kiki in the ring december 2011.
God rest in peace Champion Theldaroy Wild About

That is so sad.

So you say "damaged by a chiropractor". As in you hired an animal chiropractor to work on the dogs?

If so, I sure hope you've stopped that practice now. No human should see a chiropractor, let alone an animal that can't give real feedback, or tell them to stop when they inevitably go too far. There are countless cases of chiropractor injuring people, including children and babies (see: whatstheharm.net).

People don't seem to realise that chiropractic is an "alternative medicine"...they aren't doctors or medical professionals. And of course you should be weary of anything labeled as alternative medicine. Medicine is evidence based, and ideally science based (see: science based medecine). If it works, then it is the science that determines that, and then it becomes medecine, just medecine. Anything that is outside that gets labeled "alternative" because it either hasn't proven to be effective, or there is counter evidence showing it's ineffectiveness.

Chiropractors believe all disease and problems with the body are caused by spinal misalignments (see: chiropractic subluxation and innate intelligence) and can be fixed by spinal manipulation. There is zero credible scientific evidence that chiropractic works, or even has any kind of scientific plausibility. So considering there is no evidence that it works, and even counter evidence, and that there are countless stories of people and animals being injured by chiropractors, you have to ask yourself one thing...is the risk worth the benefit? That is a clear no.

I really feel that more people need to realise this about chiropractic. They aren't just "back doctors", they are in no uncertain terms, pseudosciences and quacks. I really hope you stop this practice in general, but especially on the dogs.

Thanks

Mark
