JANOBY KENNELS

A family run kennels by Wayne & Sue.

How did we start, Wayne started in the early seventies with Samoyeds, under the kennel prefix of Whitesands, Wayne showed & trained his Samoyeds gaining U.D. passes in obedience. Wayne has also owned Australian Kelpies, Collie (rough coat) & trailed Sue’s Border Collie to his A.D. title.

Sue started in Border Collies in the eighties showing & obedience as Janoby Kennels enjoyed much success winning many classes at breed specialty shows, which sue later returned the knowledge gained by becoming a personal trainer & obedience judge. Sue has also owned English Pointers which she took on as her daughter Robyn was given one to show & enter child handlers, sue bred several litters but the most successful litter was her first with half becoming show champions.

In 1999 we where married & Janoby Kennels became our joint kennel, after deciding to leave Border Collies, Australian Kelpies & English Pointers, we decided to focus on the Reindeer Herding Breeds, both Wayne & sue love the working breeds & enjoy living with dogs who use their brain. Janoby Kennels now breed & show Samoyeds, Finnish Lapphunds & Swedish Lapphunds.

We are a small kennel & enjoy breeding to continue the tradition of excellence handed onto us from the breeders of our foundation stock, we would like to thanks those breeders for sharing their knowledge with us, our daughter Robyn is also sharing in the growth of the kennels & her son Ryan is showing promise for the future as he already loves the dogs & can often be heard from the sidelines cheering on his pets.
